Volume of a sphere = (4/3)πr3


Volume of a cylinder = πr2h


Amount of water displaced = Volume of the spheres


Given, measuring jar of internal diameter 10 cm is partially filled with water. Four equal spherical balls of diameter 2 cm each are dropped in it and they sink down in water completely.


Let the rise in level of water be ‘h’ cm.



h = 16/75 cm
