The term "snows"

Answer :

Metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable. The poet uses metaphors to describe the sameness of the suburb and the monotony of life there. There was no hint of creativity in the clone like designs created by the city planners. The only thing which differentiates the houses were the splash of paint which also seemed like bruises. There is pin drop silence on the streets which makes it a lifeless scene with absolutely no hint of movement and just monotony. The poet uses metaphor to depict how blindly the city planners had planned the design of the city with the primary motive of earning profit. The poet also warns of such a moment that will come and turn all these constructions into clay seas.
