The three basic facts that are highlighted in Mendel's Law of Dominance are:

(i) Characters are controlled by discrete units called factors.


(ii) Factors occur only in pairs.


(iii) In a dissimilar pair of factors, one member of the pair would dominate (dominant) the other member of the pair(recessive).
