Cytoplasm is a fluid inside the cell that fills the regions between the plasma membrane and the nucleus. Cell organelles such as mitochondria, ribosomes, Golgi bodies, etc. are suspended in the cytoplasm. It is made up of mostly water and salt. Cytoplasm is present within the cell membrane of all cell types and contains all organelles and cell parts. The cytoplasm helps in the exchange of materials between cell organelles.
