Answer :

Population growth in any area is primarily an effect of birth and death rates. Migration which refers to the movement of people from one place to another for work or to live influences the natural growth rate of population to a large extent. Migration can occur within a country or between countries. People who leave a country are called emigrants, while those arriving in a country are called immigrants. Natural factors like disasters, climate influence migration patterns. Access to better employment opportunities, health and education facilities are some of the socio-economic factors affecting migration. Internal migration tends to occur from rural to urban areas. This type of migration within the country does not affect the population as a whole of a country but changes the population composition in a place. External or international migration occurs from less developed countries to more developed nations often influenced by better employment opportunities or to avoid war and strife. USA, Australia sees high numbers of immigrants while Sudan has observed a drop-in population due to emigration.
