Why Western Ghats

Western Ghats, has a complex geography and it produces a great variety and diversity of vegetation types. Scrub forests are found in the low-lying rain shadow areas and in the plains, deciduous and tropical rainforests up to about 1,500 meters, and unique mountainous forests and rolling grasslands above 1,500 meters. These regions are home to many exotic flora and fauna.
