Why is non-
Non- biodegradable waste is more hazardous as it takes thousands of years to get decomposed. It does not mix with the soil and does not get decomposed easily by the microorganisms. It poses a serious threat to our environment. It occupies significant space in landfills and ads up to trash. It includes metals, plastics, glass, and rubber. It causes land and water pollution as it remains above the soil and does not decompose in water. The disposal of non-biodegradable waste is difficult. Dumping these wastes in water or burning them cause water and air pollution.
