Why do we not feel uneasy even under the enormous pressure of atmosphere above as well as around us?

Answer :

Earth’s atmosphere consists of many gases which exerts force on the earth. Atmospheric pressure on the surface of the earth is about 1kh f per square centimetre. The surface area of the body of an average man is about 2m2, hence a total force equal to about 200000 N acts on the body of a man due to atmospheric pressure. But still we don’t feel uneasy by this enormous amount of pressure exerted on us because, the blood exerts a pressure that is slightly greater than the pressure that atmospheric pressure. Since, we exert a little higher pressure outwards so we don’t feel uneasy by this atmospheric pressure.
