Why did Phule dedicate his book Gulamgiri to the American movement to free slaves?
Phule his book Gulamgiri to the American movement to free slaves due to the following reasons:
a. Jyotirao Phule was one of the low caste leaders.
b. According to him, the upper caste of the society had no right on the land as it belonged to the local people who were termed as the low caste.
c. He also wrote a book called Ghulamgiri which means slavery.
d. In this book, he developed his own ideas about the injustice occurring in society.
e. He has also explained about all the forms of inequality that exist in society.This included the plight of upper caste women, the laborers and low caste.
f. In his book, he established a close connection between the conditions of the lower caste in India with that of the black slaves in America.
g. By drawing this connection he has given a hope that slavery will end one day, just like it did in Amer
