Banjaras were the group of grazers found in the villages of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. They moved from one place to another to graze their cattle, selling plough cattle and other goods to villagers in exchange for grain and fodder.
• The life of the Banjaras was colourful and full of adventure. Their costumes were very colourful and different. The women wore a lot of jewellery and Ghaghra and choli. They travel from one place to another in a group and graze their cattle. They lived their life in their own way irrespective of what people say about them.
