Answer :

Lord Weston’s advised his secretary Roger to be a successful man than just being a secretary in his whole life. He told him to respect himself more and do hard work to make his own success known to the world rather than just serving to his master. Weston was a self centered man so he set himself as an ideal example for Roger by telling him that he hasn’t just become a successful judge by twiddling his thumbs and hoping for favors. He won his honors by hard work and zealous service. He reminded Roger by the names of some famous judges of the town who were still copying documents for a living while Weston become a well known judge through his hard work.
