What is the

Answer :

RAW SOIL:

It refers to the soil obtained in its natural form. It contains a lot of microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, protozoa, etc. and moisture. It is good for growing plants as plants have a symbiotic association with many micro organisms.

BAKED SOIL:

When the raw soil is heated to a very high temperature, we obtain baked soil. Heating the soil kills all the microorganisms present in it and also makes the soil dry as all the water molecules evaporate.

The particle size of soil is very significant in making different objects.

Matkas are made from loamy soil. Loam soil consists of particles of large size. It is highly porous and has a reduced water holding capacity. It also does not give a very smooth texture.

Statues are made from clayey soil. Clayey soil contains very fine particles which stick to each other and gives a smooth texture. It has small air spaces and a good water holding capacity.
