What is pipeline
It is the transportation of goods or material which is in the form of liquid, slurry or gases through a pipe made of durable plastic or metals.
The two merits of public transportation are given below -:
• Pipeline transportation is ideally suited to transport the liquids and gases.
• Pipelines can be laid through difficult terrains as well as underwater.
The two demerits of public transportation are given below:
• Pipelines cannot be easily repaired, and the detection of leakage is also difficult.
• Its capacity cannot be increased once it is laid.
