What effects did
The three effects of the First World War over Europe were as follows:
• When the war was popular in Russia, people rallied against Tsar Nicholas II. Also, at the time of war, Tsar decided not to consult Duma anymore because of which people stopped supporting him. The Tsarina Alexandra’s German origins and poor advisers and a monk named Rasputin made autocracy unpopular.
• The war impacted differently the east and the west. In the east, the army fought greatly and killed many people; in the west, the army fought from trenches which were laid along eastern France. Even though Russia’s army failed miserably but when retreated, they destroyed crops and building, resulting in 3 million refugees staying in Russia. Soldiers were reluctant to fight such war
• Industries were majorly affected by the First World War. At the time of war, suppliers were not allowed to supply industrial goods, and the number of industries in Russia was already less. Industrial equipment was broke down into pieces. Railway lines severely damaged. The men who were healthy and fit called to participate in the war, this led to the shortage of labour in the industries and small workshops began to shut down. The large amount of grain sent to the army, making it scarce of the people living in the cities. Riots in front of bread shops became common.
