What does direct

Answer :

Direct Democracy also called as Pure Democracy is a form of government where the people of a nation directly participate in the decision or policy making of the nation, it is contrary to the presently practiced representative form of democracy.

In a direct democracy, if any issue arises, the decision is taken by the people directly by casting their vote, called a referendum.

Direct democracy is not always followed:

1. Decisions are tough to take as every citizen is allowed to have a voice.

2. Increases conflict as it requires citizens to have a common view.

3. Greater involvement of citizens required and if they do not turn up then, the decisions keep pending.
