What are essential and non-essential amino acids? Give two examples of each type.
Answer :
(i) The amino acids which cannot be synthesized by the body are called essential amino acids. It must be obtained through diet. Example:- valine and leucine.
(ii) The amino acids which can be synthesized by the body are called non-essential amino acids. Example: - Glycine, Alanine.
