‘We have different identities in different contexts.’ Explain.
We get different identities at different times in different contexts through socio economic, religious, linguistic and caste groups. These identities at some point divide us and at some point, unite us. The foll facts support the statement:
(a) People belonging to same religion feel they do not belong to same community due to different castes. E.g. Hindus are of same religion but different castes.
(b) Sometimes people from different religions can have same castes which gives them a sense of belongingness.
(c) It may even be seen among the rich and poor that they do not mix up even if they belong to the same religion, caste and family.
