V = volume


= ratio of specific heat capacities at constant pressure and constant volume


Therefore, we get PA = constant/V. .. (i)


Isothermal process is given by : PV = constant


Hence, we get PB = constant/V … (ii)


Since > 1, we get pA < pB. (proved)
