Yes, it is true that the distribution of the population in India is uneven. The uneven population can be defined as some parts of India has a larger population than other parts of India.
i. Northern Plains are more densely populated.
ii. The density of population depends on various factors like weather conditions, the source of livelihood, availability of resources, social factors etc.
iii. Northern Plains are very fertile in India and agriculture becomes the source of livelihood in plains.
iv. Northeast regions are not so densely populated because of the lack of availability of resources and connectivity with other regions.
