The three measures to reduce industrial pollution are:

Air pollution:


a. The dust particles in the air can be reduced by fitting smokestack in the factories.


b. Smoke can be reduced by replacing coal with oil or gas in factories.


Water pollution:


a. Water can be harvested to meet water requirements.


b. The hot water effluents must be treated before releasing them into water bodies.


c. The use of water must be reduced by recycling water to use it in 2 or more successive stages.


Noise pollution:


a. The machinery must be redesigned to increase energy efficiency and reduce noise.


b. Generators must be fitted with silencers.


c. Noise absorbing materials must be used apart from the personal use of earplugs.
