(ii) The western countries have mostly favored the military’s authoritarian rule in Pakistan for their own benefits, hence this has further encouraged military’s rule in the region and hindered the path towards democracy.

(iii) It was apprehended earlier that the nuclear weapons that are held by Pakistan would not go into the hands of the terrorists groups. Hence these western asian countries held military regime in Pakistan as the protector of west asia.
