Silver article gets black coating. Name the phenomenon.
Whenever a metal is exposed to air and water for a long time it gets surrounded by a layer due to any type of chemical reactions and gets corroded. This process is called corrosion. So when a silver article gets a black coating, the phenomenon is called as corrosion.
