1.1 (a) When we see someone being generous, we appreciate them for their generosity and are full of admiration for them.

(b) According to Solomon, anyone who is generous will never feel that he lacks anything. Solomon says that the more you give, the more you will receive and thus your prosperity will be increased.

(c) A truly generous person is someone who would happily giveaway a significant portion of his possession to a needy person without expecting to receive anything in return. Generosity not only means helping with money but also providing emotional support and assistance to someone in need.

(d) Solomon states that generosity is a quality associated with the heart. He says that one who is not generous will become emotionally bankrupt and his soul will become poor. One who is not generous will always want more and become greedy and that is why Solomon disapproves the lack of generosity.

(e) The janitor mentioned in Para 3 genuinely practiced generosity. He cleaned the toilets at night and during the day, he cared for his bedridden wife. He was a kind person and considerate in his action. It was because of his generosity that he was abundantly provided with whatever he needed.

(f) The author admired the janitor for his generosity and kindness. He appreciates the janitor and feels that he is always refreshed and he lacks nothing.
