Subject: Awareness of the need to switch to solar energy

Dear Sir,

I am writing today to make a plea to common people to switch to solar energy in order to conserve electricity and limit electric bills.

The use of solar energy is eco-friendly and uses the natural rays of the sun as energy. If we choose to switch to solar energy from electricity, then we can save money and the environment. Nowadays, solar energy is used in solar cookers, water heaters, street lamps, etc. which are available to the public. The electricity that is generated by the solar panels in the day is enough to power our streets and home appliances at night. It is also cheaper to set up and maintain. Our electricity bills can be limited in this way and we can save the environment at the same time. It is our duty as citizens of this country to conserve electricity which is a limited resource, not affordable by all.

I hope that you will consider my letter and publish it in your celebrated newspaper so that it creates wider awareness about the matter at hand.

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely,

Swati Mishra
