Answer :

Theorem: The bisector of an angle of a triangle divides the side opposite to the angle in the ratio of the remaining sides.

x(x + 2) = (x-2)(x + 5)

x2 + 2x = x2-2x + 5x-10

x2 + 2x-x2 + 2x-5x + 10 = 0

x = 10
