Explanation:

Multiples of 3 are 3,6,9,......

This means we have to find the sum 3 + 6 + 9 + ......+ (upto 8 multiples)

This sum can be found out using AP whose:

• First Term (a) = 3

• Common Difference (d) = 3

• Number of Terms (n) = 8

As we know,

where,

n = number of terms,

a = first term

d = common difference.

Putting the necessary values,

Required Sum

= 4[6 + 7(3)]

= 4 (6 + 21)

 = 4( 27)

Required Sum = 108
