Q. 84.8( 5 Votes )

The total cost C(

Answer :

C(x) = 0.005x3 – 0.02x2 + 30x + 5000

Marginal cost is given by,

Cm(C(x))

Cm (0.005x3 – 0.02x2 + 30x + 5000)

Cm = (0.005 × 3 × x2) – (0.02 × 2 × x) + 30

Now it is given that number of units = 3

Therefore, x = 3,

Cm = (0.005 × 3 × 9) – (0.02 × 2 × 3) + 30

Cm = 30.135 – 0.12

Cm = 30.015
