If the sum of the areas of 6 surfaces of the cube be 216 sq. cm , then let us calculate the volume of the cube.

Answer :

Let the edge of a cube be a cm.

We know that total surface area of cube is 6a2

According to question,

6a2 = 216

a2 = = 36

a = √36 = 6 cm

As, volume of cube is a3

Therefore, volume = 63 = 216 cubic cm.
