We know, area of rectangle = length × breadth

A = L × B

⇒ 1200 = 40 × B

⇒ B = 30cm

Where, L = length of rectangle and B = breadth of rectangle

Diagonal of rectangle = side of square

Also, we know area of square = (side)^{2}

= (50)^{2} = 2500 cm^{2}
