# Radius of base of

Given: radius of base of cylinder (r) = 20 cm

Height of cylinder (h) = 13 cm

Since it is a cylinder, curved surface area is given by

CSA = 2πrh

Where CSA = Curved Surface Area

h = height

CSA = 2 × 3.14 × 20 × 13

CSA = 1632.80 …(i)

Total surface area (TSA) of cylinder is given by

TSA = (Curved surface area) + 2 (Circular area of the base of the cylinder)

TSA = 2πrh + 2πr2

TSA = 1632.8 + (2 × 3.14 × (20)2) [from (i)]

TSA = 1632.8 + 2512 = 4144.80

Thus, curved surface area of the cylinder is 1632.80 cm2 and total surface area of the cylinder is 4144.80 cm2.
