If x = 1 and y = -1 is a solution of the equation 12x – ky = (2k + 1).
Find the value of k.
Putting the values of x and y inn the equation, we get,
12 × 1 – k × (-1) = (2k + 1)
12 + k = 2k + 1
2k – k = 12 – 1
k = 11
Hence, the value of k is 11.
