# The expressions f

Answer :

S_{n} = n^{2} – 2n

a_{n + 1} = S_{n + 1}-S_{n}

= {(n + 1)^{2}-2(n + 1)}- (n^{2} – 2n)

= n^{2} + 2n + 1-2n-2-n^{2} + 2n

= 2n-1

= 2(n + 1)-3

a_{n} = 2n-3
