S_{n} = n^{2} + 2n

a_{n + 1} = S_{n + 1} - S_{n}

= {(n + 1)^{2} + 2(n + 1)}-{n^{2} + 2n}

= n^{2} + 4n + 4-n^{2}-2n

= 2n + 4

= 2(n + 1) + 2

∴ a_{n} = 2n + 2
