# In the given figure, AD is the median and DE || AB. Prove that BE is the median.

Answer :

In ∆ABC, using mid point theorem

We know that D is the mid-point of BC and DE|| AB.

Thus, AE = EC and DE = (AB)

Now, E is the mid point of AC

Thus, BE is the median
