# If a:b = 3:1 and b:c = 5:1, then find the value of

i. ii.

Answer :

(i) Given that a:b = 3:1

∴ a/b = 3

⇒ a = 3b ………………… (1)

Also, b:c = 5:1

∴ b/c = 5

⇒ c = b/5 ………………… (2)

Consider

=(9)^{3}

=729

(ii)

Given that a:b = 3:1

∴ a/b = 3

⇒ a = 3b ………………… (1)

Also, b:c = 5:1

∴ b/c = 5

⇒ c = b/5 ………………… (2)
