Q. 46

# In the given figure, AM ⊥ BC and AN is the bisector of ∠A. If ∠ABC = 70° and ∠ACB = 20°, then ∠MAN = ?A. 20°B. 25°C. 15°D. 30°

In triangle ABC,

B = 70o

C = 20o

So, A = 180o – 70o – 20o = 90o

According to question, AN is bisector of A

So, BAN = 45o

Now, in triangle BAM,

B = 70o

M = 90o

BAM = 180o – 70o – 90o = 20o

Now, MAN = BAN – BAM

= 45o – 20o

= 25o
