# Solve the followi

Answer :

For equation 1, let's find the points for graph

3x - y - 2 = 0

At x = 0

3(0) - y - 2 = 0

⇒ y = -2

At x = 1

3(1) - y - 2 = 0

⇒ y = 1

At x = 2

3(2) - y - 2 = 0

⇒ 6 - y - 2 = 0

⇒ y =4

Hence, points for graph are (0, -1) (1, 1) and (2, 4)

For equation 2

2x+ y = 8

at x = 0

y =8

at x = 1

2(1) + y = 8

⇒ y = 6

at x =4

2(4) + y = 8

⇒ y = 0

Hence, points for graph are (0, 8) (1, 6) and (4, 0)

From graph, we observe both lines intersect at (2, 4)

hence, x =2 y = 4 is the solution of given pair
