# Let’s find G.C.D of the following algebraic expression:5x(x + y),x3-xy2

5x(x + y), x3-xy2

Factors of 5x(x + y)=5×x×(x + y)

x3-xy2=x(x2-y2)

Apply the formula a2 – b2 = (a + b)(a-b)

=x(x + y)(x-y)

Factors of x3-xy2= x(x + y)(x-y)

GCD is the greatest common divisor, which is equal to the product of all the common divisors.

the GCD 5x(x + y), x3-xy2 is x(x + y)
