Q. 344.5( 20 Votes )

Solve 2x + 3y = 1

Answer :

2x + 3y = 11 … (1)

x – 2y = -12 … (2)

(2) × 2 gives us,

2x – 4y = -24 … (3)

(1) – (3),

7y = 35

y = 5, x = -2

Substituting in y = mx + 3,

5 = -2m + 3

m = -1
