Given PQ = 16 cm and PO = 10 cm

We have to find TP.

PR = RQ = 16/2 = 8 cm [Perpendicular from the centre bisects the chord]



= √36 = 6 cm

Let POR be θ.

In Δ POR, tan θ

We know OP TP

[Point of contact of a tangent is perpendicular to the line from the centre]

In Δ OTP, tan θ

TP = 7.5 cm
