In a rain-water h

Answer :

Volume of rain fall = Volume of water in cylindrical tank

For cylindrical tank,

Base diameter = 2 m

Base radius,

Height of tank, h = 3.5 m

And we know, volume of cylinder = πr2h

Where, r is base radius and h is height of cylinder


Volume of water in tank = π(1)2(3.5)

Volume of rain fall = area of roof × height of rain fall

Let the height of rainfall be 'h'

11 = length × bread th × h

11 = 22× 20 × h

1 = 40 h

h = 0.025 m

h = 2.5 cm [As 1 m = 100 cm]

Therefore, height of rain fall is 2.5 cm

Water conservation is very necessary, as water is an essential unit of life and life is not possible without water.
