The base BC of triangle ABC is produced both ways and the measure of exterior angles formed are 94° and 126°. Then, BAC=
A. 94°

B. 54°

C. 40°

D. 44°

Answer :

Given,

ABD = 94o and

ACE = 126o

ABD + ABC = 180o (Linear pair)

ABC = 86o (i)

ACE + ACB = 180o (Linear pair)

ACB = 54o (ii)

In

ABC + ACB + BAC = 180o

86o + 54o + BAC = 180o

BAC = 40o
