The figure is shown below:

Let the side of square be 2x

Also, RS = 2x

RS is also the diameter of the circle.

Now,

Area of square = 4 × side

= 4 × 2x

= 8x

Area of green region(circle) = πr2

= π x2

Probability of dot is putted in the green part

= 0.40x (approx.)
