Two A.P.'s have the same common difference. The first term of one of these is 8 and that of the other is 3. The difference between their 30th terms is
A. 11

B. 3

C. 8

D. 5

Answer :

for 1st A.P a = 8 and d= common difference = d

The nth term of an A.P is given by the formula

an= a + (n–1) d

The required difference is

= 8 + (30 – 1) d – 3 – (30 –1) d

= 5
