Coloured balls are distributed in three bags as shown in the following table:



A bag is selected at random, and then two balls are randomly drawn from the selected bag. They happen to be black and red. What is the probability that they came from the bag I?

Answer :

Let E1, E2, E3 be the following events.


E1 = Bag I is selected.


E2 = Bag II is selected.


E3 = Bag III is selected.


Let A be the event of getting a black and red ball.
