Let x be the number of packages of nuts and y be the number of packages of bolts produced each day.

According to the given condition;

∴ x + 3y ≤ 12 and 3x + y ≤ 12 and x≤0, y≤0.

We need to maximize Z = 17.5x + 7y

∴ The maximum profit we can make is Rs. 73.5 by producing 3 packages of nuts and 3 packages of bolts.
