Arun bought

Answer :

Discount is offered on the Marked Price of article.

Let the marked price of article = Rs. x

It is given that the discount on pair of skates = 20%

Therefore,

Marked Price - Discount = 1600

Cross-multiplying, we get,

80x = 160000

x = Rs. 2000

Hence, the marked price of pair of skates = Rs. 2000.
