# Find the angle between the following pair of lines:

and

and check whether the lines are parallel or perpendicular.

Answer :

Comparing the equations of lines, against the required variables,

A1 = 2, B1 = 7 & C1 = -3

A2 = -1, B2 = 2 & C2 = 4

= 0

Checking for perpendicularity,

A1(A2) + B1(B2) + C1(C2)

= 2(-1) + 7(2) + (-3) (4)

= -2 + 14 – 12

= 0

The lines are perpendicular.
