Find the coordinates of the focus, axis, the equation of the directrix and latus rectum of the parabola y2 = 8x.
Consider y2 = 8x,
Here axis of symmetry is x- axis.
Comparing with y2 = 4ax
4ax = 8x
a = 2
So, focus is (2,0) and equation of directrix is x = -2.
Length of latus rectum = 4a
