# Write the correct alternative answer for each of the following questions.

Multiply (x^{2} -3) × (2x – 7x^{3} + 4) and write the degree of the product.

The multiplication is as follows:

= (x^{2} -3) × (2x – 7x^{3} + 4)

= x^{2}.2x – 7x^{3}.x^{2} + 4x^{2} -3.2x + 3.7x^{3} -3.4

= 2.x^{2+1} – 7x^{3+2} + 4x^{2} -6x + 21x^{3}-12

= 2x^{3} – 7x^{5} + 4x^{2} – 6x + 21x^{3} – 12

“.” represents Multiplication

Therefore the degree of the product is 5.

Option (B) is not correct as the degree does not match to the highest degree of the variable.
